Let's get this week's Most Wanted list started off with four new movies making their debut on home video with three of those getting the 4K UltraHD treatment.
Denzel Washington's thriller The Equalizer 2 will find itself on shelves with a 4K Ultra HD release that includes a handful of featurettes, a pop-up trivia track, deleted scenes and a "Retribution Mode" feature. The film will also be available in a standard blu-ray + DVD + digital package as well as a Best Buy Exclusive steelbook release.
Also making its home video debut are Jennifer Garner's action thriller Peppermint which is getting a Blu-ray + DVD + Digital release from Universal Studios and Ben Foster's revenge thriller Galveston which is getting a 4K Ultra HD treatment and a Blu-ray + Digital Copy from RLJ Entertainment. {googleads}
Warner's animated family feature Smallfoot will hit shelves this week with a 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray + Digital HD release in addition to a Blu-ray + DVD + Digital HD release and a Blu-ray 3D + Blu-ray + Digital HD release.
A quartet of horror titles will be available in hi-def this week led by Sam Raimi's Evil Dead 2 which is getting a 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray + Digital Copy remaster from Lionsgate that features a brand new 4K restoration and a Dolby vision HDR presentation of the film and a new featurette.
The horror/thriller Maniac is getting a 3-disc Limited Edition release from Blue Underground with a new 4K restoration that will include a couple of new featurettes and a plethora of extras. Additionally, Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation is getting a blu-ray release that will include the original theatrical cut, the director's cut, a new audio commentary and three new featurettes.
Wrapping up the horror titles on our most wanted list this week is Shout Factory's handling of Lee Harry's black comedy slasher called Silent Night Deadly Night Part 2 that gets a Collector's Edition release with a new 2K remaster from an archival theatrical print, a new audio commentary, three new interviews, and a new featurette in addition to some features ported over from a previous release.
A couple of westerns get our attention this week in the form of Criterion's release of Samuel Fuller's Forty Guns which contains a new 4K restoration and a 50th Anniversary blu-ray treatment of Clint Eastwood's Hang 'Em High that comes with a pair of new audio commentaries from film historians. These are both biggies for classic movie fans and collectors alike. I'll be picking both of these up.
The nature documentary A Beautiful Planet is getting an IMAX Enhanced / 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray + Digital Copy release from Mill Creek Entertainment that is narrated by Jennifer Garner and includes three featurettes.

And finally, our Most Wanted blu-ray for this week is Warner Archive Collection's blu-ray release of Popeye The Sailor: The 1940s, Volume 1. The release will feature brand new 4K remasters for each episode struck from the original nitrate technicolor negative. Additionally, there will be optional English SDH subtitles for the entire set. Now is the time to replace those old 1980s videotape copies of these cartoons.
