A boy’s first hunt is quite meaningful, but what about a girl’s?! For the answer to this question, be sure to tune in to the Hunt Club this April as caged women turn the tables on the men who keep them captive!
Written by David Lipper and John F. Saunders, Hunt Club opens with a wild BANG as a fringed-up stranger wipes the floor with a bunch of dudes who are up to no good in the parking lot of a bar. They are roughing up Cassandra (Mena Suvari), but Tessa (Maya Stojan) will soon put a stop to it with her fists and anything else she can hit them with. She’s no stranger to beating the shit out of a man and, rather thankfully, she’ll be doing it again and again and again as Hunt Club pits women vs men in a rather poignant display of rage against the patriarchy.
Welcome to Hunt Club! It’s the club where boys become men and girls, well, they kick a whole lot of ass and learn just what it means to be a woman. With large cowboy hats worn proudly and fringe galore, the metaphors at play here are fun and certainly on-point as this film reveals its exploitation roots with the entrance of Mickey Rourke as he reveals that it is the women on this island who are being hunted.

Flipping the script on the whole action/revenge genre, Hunt Club puts females first as Jackson and his father, Carter (Casper Van Dien), offer Cassandra a chance to participate in a hunt on a beach-crested island and win the $100k reward for participating in this epic and hush-hush event. It’s Jackson’s first time and his father is hoping he will return as A MAN after this father-son bonding trip, but no one is prepared for the carnage which follows their arrival on this island . . .
. . . except the women! Cassandra soon finds other women who are there for the cash have been tied up, only to be released as the hunted. With the help of Tessa and Lexi, Cassandra turns the tables on the men showing that women can be better hunters.
