Get ready for a wild night out at the movies, because the drinks are strong, the music is seductive, and the clientele might just drink you.
The first trailer for Vampires of the Velvet Lounge has arrived, and it promises a stylish, blood-soaked ride packed with dark humor, seductive danger, and plenty of grindhouse attitude.
Written and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Adam Sherman, the film stars Mena Suvari as the legendary Elizabeth Báthory, the infamous countess whose myth is said to have inspired Dracula. In this twisted modern tale set deep in the American South, Báthory runs a mysterious absinthe bar that hides a centuries-old secret: she and her glamorous coven of vampires—played by India Eisley and Sarah Dumont—hunt their prey through dating apps, luring lonely singles into a velvet-draped den of deadly seduction.
But things go sideways when Báthory matches with the wrong crowd: an undercover vampire hunter ( Dichen Lachman ) and a clueless pack of bros on a disastrous boys’ trip, played by Stephen Dorff, Lochlyn Munro, and Tyrese Gibson. What follows is a gleefully chaotic collision of fangs, fashion, and foolish decisions as the Velvet Lounge erupts into a glittery nightmare of blood, betrayal, and supernatural mayhem.
Distributed by Strand Releasing, Vampires of the Velvet Lounge is rated R and arrives exclusively in theaters on March 20, 2026.
