Okay, so The Amazing Bulk is honestly one of the weirdest movies I have ever seen in my entire life, and I’ve watched the original Super Mario Bros movie like 5 times. This movie was released in 2012 and is supposed to be similar to The Incredible Hulk, but if the Hulk were purple, squishy, and resembled a character created in Microsoft Paint.

"this movie is terrible, but in a way that makes it super fun to watch with friends"

The main guy is Henry “Hank” Howard, and he’s a scientist who really wants his boss to like him so he can marry the boss’s daughter. (This is already a bad plan.) So Hank decides to inject himself with this super‑soldier serum he made, and instead of turning into a cool superhero, he turns into a giant purple blob man whenever he gets mad. He looks like a grape that learned how to walk.

Then the whole movie becomes chaos. The army wants to use him, the police want to arrest him, and Hank is just running around like “AHHHHH.” There’s also this evil guy named Dr. Werner Von Kantlove (yes, that’s his real name) who wants to blow stuff up with missiles. Hank gets stuck in the middle of everything like a confused purple toddler. The Amazing Bulk (2012)

The BEST part is the backgrounds. They are ALL green screen. Like, every single one. It looks like someone Googled “free backgrounds” and just slapped them in. At the end, Bulk runs around the world and they throw in every random 3D animal they could find. It looks like a Roblox game that’s about to crash.

The music is all old classical stuff they didn’t have to pay for, and the title credits are literally in Comic Sans. COMIC SANS. I laughed so hard I almost fell off the couch.

Honestly, this movie is terrible, but in a way that makes it super fun to watch with friends. You can just point at the screen and go “WHAT IS HAPPENING.” So I give it 4 out of 5 beers, not because it’s good, but because it’s hilarious.

4/5 beers
