Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald TrailerWith a mere flick of its magical wand, Warner Bros. just released the first theatrical trailer for J. K. Rowling's Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. Of course, the film is the highly-anticipated follow-up to 2016's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and the second of five new adventures in Rowling's Wizarding World of adventures films.

The film is set some 70 years before the events in the Harry Potter movies so we meet a young Dumbledore played by Jude Law as his school's transfiguration professor. We don't get a whole heck of a lot about the film's plot from the trailer, mostly just flashes of action scenes with fantastically-realized CGI, but we do learn that there is trouble and conflict brewing in the wizarding world when we see Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) set out on a some kind of mission against the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) who was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America) at the end of the first film.
