The House in Between 2

There is something strange STILL happening in Florence, Mississippi.

As a fan of the Unexplained, I am always on the hunt for legitimate paranormal investigations which is why I originally visited the documentary The House in Between.  Released in 2020, that film brought Alice Jackson and her struggle living in a haunted house to the forefront as it documented a decade long investigation and fills its running time with legit horror as she rationalizes her decision to never spend the night in her home again.  Genuine, insightful, and full of terrifying moments (all the EMF detectors going off at the same time STILL stands out!!!), The House in Between offered more than I expected.

"Genuine, insightful, and full of terrifying moments"

But the house wasn’t done.  From lights turning on by themselves to balls and dolls being pushed down the stairs by invisible forces, it seems like there is still something being communicated by the entities haunting the house.  But what exactly is it trying to say?

That’s where the sequel and the scientists and investigators who enter the house and its property come into play in The House in Between 2, daring to bridge the gap between science and spirituality with respect and focused intent.

Once again directed by Steve Gonsalves (of Ghost Huners/TAPS fame) and Kendall Whelpton, The House in Between 2, a Robot Ninja Media production, matches the tone of its predecessor and offers viewers more history of the town and even more haunts while geologists, psychics, and paranormal investigators are brought in to try and get to the truth behind the haunts, hoping that their explanations can ease Alice's mind and have her return for the occasional overnight stay.  The House in Between 2

At close to two hours, this sequel to the original investigation makes for some solid viewing as we get some serious insight into Alice’s ordeal as she continues to invite investigators into her VERY active home, while unsure if she can EVER return to it.  We get an update on her and her family, some raw paranormal video, and then the new investigation takes off, covering the town’s history and incorporating the activity both inside and outside the house, suggesting that this haunting might just be intelligent and aware of just what it is doing.

Which is completely unsettling, but it is hard to deny once you see the footage for yourself in real time.  The House in Between 2 proves to be every bit as good as the first one.

Thanks to some BEYOND creepy outside paranormal activity (and the voices!!), the stakes (and the science behind the haunts) are ramped up, providing the investigators with even more strange evidence thanks to ground penetrating radars, the data collected by the geologist brought in (who even has an encounter of her own while on the property!!), and the new investigators (which may be familiar faces to some viewers) of Elizabeth Saint (Ghosts of Shepherdstown, Mark of the Bell Witch) and Dustin Pari (Ghost Hunters International).  What they encounter and its awareness is definitely going to blow your mind.

Featuring Sam Baltrusis, Laurie McDonald, Jill Morris, Erin Brown, Amy & John Bullard, and Brad Cooney, The House in Between 2 is available on Amazon Prime and other streaming services.
