Bring Him Back Dead

Bring on the double-cross!

I mean, you have to kind of expect it in a crime thriller like Bring Him Back Dead.  Low in budget but high on endorphins, Bring Him Back Dead (along with its GREAT name) takes the theme of Richard Connell’s short story The Most Dangerous Game to heart as it sinks a fortune of diamonds into its backstabbing sands and dares each one of its characters to survive the wilderness surrounding its isolated cabin.

"sweaty palms crank the violence up to an eleven and the paranoia sets in"

In the mood for a violent crime flick?  Director Mark Savage (Sensitive New Age Killer, Fishnet) has just what the doctor ordered with is latest offering, a gritty thriller which begins when a jewelry store heist goes tits up.

It should have been simple.  It was supposed to be an in and out heist.  Instead, the whole shit house went up in flames when a bloody shootout erupts as this violent gang watches one of their own get shot and must flee with the goods.  But their safe house - a cabin in the woods - isn’t so much “safe” as it is full of tension while they wait for their buyer.

Starring action veterans Gary Daniels (The Expendables), Louis Mandylor (The Debt Collector), and Daniel Baldwin (John Carpenter's Vampires), this Sam Pechinpah-esque thriller has enough in-fighting among the group to warrant an engaging audience as one by one, the members of the group - including  Geoff (LeJon Woods, Dawn of the Beast, Asteroid), Killian (Ryan M. Shaw, Blowback, Vex), Zarina (Zhuzha Akova, Baker Enterprise), and Hayden (Chris Torem, Vault) - come to realize that all is not as it seems.Bring Him Back Dead

Betrayed, they must now track down and eliminate the man who planned it all!  And that's where its namesake comes from.

The distrust is strong with these rotten criminals and all of it adds up to many moments of doubting even yourself as you watch the non-stop action happen between the various members of this den of thieves.  Sure, it feels a lot like early Tarantino territory and, at times, Bring Him Back Dead behaves in a similar vein as sweaty palms crank the violence up to an eleven and the paranoia sets in.

Written by Ben Demaree and based on a story by Jeff Miller, BRING HIM BACK DEAD will be released on Digital and DVD August 2nd from Uncork’d Entertainment.
