Watch Bad Ass trailerSomebody send an amberlampse, Bad Ass is on the rampage! He's a Vietnam veteran (Danny Trejo) who returned home from the war to a less than gracious welcome, an absent sweetheart, and no job. But forty years later, an incident on a commuter bus sends the grizzled senior citizen into an ass-kicking rampage when he sticks up for a helpless victim of violence. Now a local hero dubbed "Bad Ass" and hell-bent on revenge, he throws caution to the wind and sets out to avenge the murder of his best friend.

Life brings us many pleasures, but none sweeter than watching Danny Trejo beat the crap out of people. And seeing him do it in cargo-shorts and a fanny pack makes it that much sweeter. We first caught wind of the film last fall when a one-minute trailer turned up that featured Bad Ass leaving a bloody trail all across the city. Now we find a second trailer (also one-minute long) that's a bit more stylish and punches up the film's exploitation factor a few notches. You can check out bother trailers below.

The film, based on a true story, is directed by Craig Moss, the braintrust behind Saving Ryan's Privates and The 41-Year-Old Virgin Who Knocked Up Sarah Marshall and Felt Superbad, so don't expect an award-winning drama. But with Trejo, Ron Perlman, and Charles S. Dutton starring, it's not too much to hope for a rousing good time at the movies when Bad Ass releases to theaters on April 13 of this year.
