Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 - Movie Trailer

Walt Disney Animation Studios, looking to capitalize on the success of its 2012 surprise hit Wreck-it Ralph, just released a fantastic new teaser trailer for the sequel called Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-it Ralph 2.

Wreck-it Ralph found an audience with its delightfully nostalgic look at the unrushed days of 8-bit video through the eyes of what our toys and games do when we're not around; a tried-and-true Disney/Pixar formula. That story followed the adventures of video game characters Ralph (John C. Reilly) and Vanellope (Sarah Silverman) who come to life when the arcade lights are turned off.

Well, Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-it Ralph 2 picks up on that story and follows our heroes as they venture towards the future and into the internet. As we see in the trailer, arcade owner Litwak hooks his arcade up to the internet allowing adventurous souls Ralph and Vanellope to squeeze through the lines and end up smack-dab in the middle of... the world wide web?

Though the purpose for their adventure isn't revealed in the trailer, the film's official synopsis tells us that the pair are risking all to search for a replacement part for Vanellope's video game called Sugar Rush.

If the folks over at Disney have done it right and followed the same formula that endeared the original to a legion of fans – character over spectacle, then 2 should be an exciting adventure into the realm of video games and pop-culture relevance while staying grounded with those Disney-friendly themes of doing the right thing, and loving oneself no matter how we’re made.
