The Addams Family

Not since 1993 have Morticia, Gomez, Puglsey, and Wednesday been seen in a movie theater. That is the year that Barry Sonnenfeld's Addams Family Values was released as a follow up to the wildly popular debut of the family in The Addams Family, a film that pulled in over $130 million worldwide.

Well, the creepy and kooky family is back, but this time in glorious animation by the fine folks over at MGM. Voicing the Addams morbid matricarch and patriarch respectively will be Charlize Theron and Oscar Isaac with Chloe Grace Moretz providing the voice of Wednesday and Finn Wolfhard voicing Pugsley.

"Get ready to snap your fingers! The Addams Family is back on the big screen in the first animated comedy about the kookiest family on the block. Funny, outlandish, and completely iconic, the Addams Family redefines what it means to be a good neighbor."

The film follows the family as they are forced to face off against a mean TV host Margaux Neddler (voiced by Allison Janney). Matters are made even worse when they must make preparations for the arrival of extended family.

The Addams Family is directed by Sausage Party directors Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan who will work from a script by Matt Lieberman. The film also stars the voices of Nick Kroll as Uncle Fester and Bette Midler as Grandma.

The Addams Family will hit the big screen this fall on October 11, 2019.
