To Barcelona, Forever (2025)

To Barcelona, Forever is exactly what you think it is: a Hallmark sequel that exists to let its cast flirt in gorgeous Spanish light while tripping over destiny. It’s part of the Passport to Love lineup and follows up To Barcelona, With Love, sending Anna back to Spain where she almost immediately finds herself tangled in a fake-engagement mess. You can see the entire plot coming from orbit — but honestly, that’s half the comfort.

"The chemistry is where the movie really wins"

Director Ron Oliver clearly knows what he’s doing with this genre. He keeps the pacing breezy, lets the camera linger just long enough on vineyards and stone streets, and generally makes Barcelona look like a place where nobody has real problems beyond “Which man should I accidentally fall for today?” The location does a ton of the heavy lifting, and it’s so pretty you almost forget how silly the setup is.

The chemistry is where the movie really wins. Ashley Williams and Alison Sweeney feel like actual longtime friends, not people pretending for a paycheck. Their banter is easy, warm, and sells the whole “reunion trip” vibe beautifully. Add Alejandro Tous as the grounded, endlessly patient Nico and Miguel Brocca as Javier, the charming farmer with movie-star dimples, and you’ve got a quartet that clicks in that effortless Hallmark way.To Barcelona, Forever (2025)

And yes — the accidental run-ins between Williams and Brocca are ridiculously fun. She’s doing her thing at one restaurant and runs into him.  Walks a few more miles and - BOOM - he’s there, too. It’s like the universe has hired him as Anna’s personal meet-cute delivery system, and after the fourth “oh, you again?” you’re either rolling your eyes or smiling despite yourself. Probably both.

Is it deep? Absolutely not. The supporting roles mostly exist to push the main couple closer together and remind us that traditions are sacred and love conquers logistical reality. But the cast chemistry is so good, and the reunion energy between Williams and Sweeney so genuinely enjoyable, that the movie floats comfortably at a solid three stars. Not unforgettable — but warm, snark-resistant comfort viewing with great scenery and people you’re happy to hang out with for two hours.

Check out Hallmark+, Hallmark’s own streaming service if you want to watch it. Beyond Hallmark+, you can also catch it (with the right subscriptions) through live TV streaming services that carry Hallmark Channel — such as Philo, YouTube TV, FuboTV, Sling TV, and others — where it plays as part of their on-demand libraries. Basically, if you’ve cut the cord but still want to hang out with Anna and Javier in that saffron field, Hallmark+ or one of the broader TV-streaming bundles is the easiest way to do it.
