Justice League Coming to Big Scren

Warner chief, Jeff Robinov revealed that one of the studio's top priorities is moving forward with plans to make a series of movies based on DC comics heroes. That means a Justice League big screen live-action adaptation is the cards for a 2013 release.

There are a couple of problems to overcome however, like how exactly to incorporate (or disincorporate) Batman into the plans. But the WB prez says, "We have the third Batman, but then we'll have to reinvent Batman." This kind of makes sense since Nolan has already declared his third Batman installment, The Dark Knight Rises, to be his last. So, basically Batman will be rebooted for the Justice League franchise. Christian Bale says he's unsure about whether continuing to don the pointy ears interests him, but has left the door open, just in case a big bag of money were to fall in.

Justice League is comprised of such heroes as Green Lantern, the Flash, Wonder Woman, Batman, Aquaman, Superman and more. There's obviously not time to get a Wonder Woman or Flash franchise up and running before Justice League is slated for production, so the natural step would be to spin off those characters into their own individual franchises… like a superhero Sit 'n Spin.

A Justice League adaptation was very close to getting underway back in 2007 until the Writers Guild strike shut it down. Clearly, it is now back on the front burner with the gas on high.

Wouldn't it make most sense for Nolan to kill off Batman in his poorly named The Dark Knight Rises Installment for a more seamless reboot in the Justice League?
