Well, well, well, what do we have here? Scream Team Releasing drops a surprise release this month proving that it is never too late or too early to celebrate the Halloween season. 10/31 Part 2, with Malvolia, The Queen of Screams (Jennifer Nangle) once again hosting the beginning and ending bookend pieces in this horror anthology, has the blood and the boobs to get the job done.
While it is an improvement over the first film, 10/31 Part 2 has a BIG problem with consistency. It is funny, but it doesn’t always tickle the funny bone and the scares are even more uneven. Whether it is with the acting or with the stories themselves, this bloody spectacle of cannibals and crazy uber killers never rises (for very long) above the hilarity of the faux trailers that kicks off the murder and the madness.
Hey, but at least the corn syrup is free-flowing, right? Directors Jennifer Nangle (Spirit Board, Dare You), Tory van Buskirk (Come to Me Sister Mary, Alone), Stephen Wolfe (Dracula’s Coffin, Doll Factory), Max Groah (Never Say Dead, Carpool), and Drew Marvick (Scared to Death, Pool Party Massacre) all come together with their creative talents and put together a well-packaged horror anthology that is good for a few solid laughs - “Overkill” being a standout - and some scares. {googleads}
Starring London Grace (The White Witch, Ghosthunters), Jennifer Nangle, and R.J. Wagner (Terror Tales, Hans Crippleton: Talks to the Hans), the trailers that kick off the feature are both gross and hilarious. They work in creating the beer-drinking mood that is necessary for cheapo depot entertainment as inconsistent in its achievements as this is.
Consistency, Boils and Ghouls, it’s necessary when it comes to horror anthologies. And, just as was the downfall of the first film in this series, Part 2 of 10/31 - a series of horror tales happening on Halloween night - falls into the same trap. There is one solid high in this new anthology set and some lows which, ultimately, make 10/31 Part 2 a tad too forgettable BEFORE next Halloween season. 
Both fun and stupid, 10/31 Part 2 lands on an odd time of the year to make much of an impact. It's an uneven set of tales to be sure, but there is an aspect to its insanity which I dearly love. While I celebrate the talents and passion that went into making this horror anthology, my fear is that it will be long forgotten when it is time for the pumpkins to be carved and the tricks to be treated.

Courtesy of Scream Team Releasing, 10/31 Part 2 arrives on blu-ray with an aspect ratio of 2.35:1. As this is a downgraded film of digital quality, the scratches, pops, and unfocused haziness is to be expected. But it rocks. Trust me. The visual style is right on target and offers a great look for fans with this 1080p release. Colors are muted (as expected) but black levels are deep and dark.
Audio:
The LPCM 2.0 soundtrack is adequate for this release but the synth soundtrack is KILLER cool.
