The Curse of La Llorana - Movie Trailer

James Wan is at it again. The horror mastermind behind the Saw and Conjuring series has brought us another trip into the supernatural with a new film he is producing called The Curse of La Llorona. And the trailer and a new poster were just made available from Warner Bros. You can watch the trailer below.

The story centers around the ancient mystery of the Weeping Woman, a horrifying apparition caught between Heaven and Hell. The mere mention of her name has struck terror around the world for generations. Yet you can bet that her name is mentioned several times throughout the trailer.

Apparently, when she was still alive, the woman drowned her children in a jealous rage, before throwing herself in the churning river after them as she wept in pain. Well, we learn that now her tears are eternal. They are lethal, and those who hear her death call in the night are doomed. La Llorona creeps in the shadows and preys on the children, desperate to replace her won.

Of course, this is a timeless legend from Mexico, but on April 19th next year, the legend will become real when The Curse of La Llorona hits theaters to steal your children.

The Curse of La Llorona stars Linda Cardellini (Scooby-Doo), Patricia Velasquez, and Raymond Cruz. The films is directed by relative newcomer Michael Chaves who is currently in post-production as director of Conjuring 3. He works from a script co-written by Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis
