Wreck-it-Ralph and Adonis Johnson Break the Weekend Box Office

 Ralph Breaks the Internet

We had three new films vying for the top spot at this weekend's box office. Turns out it was a rock 'em sock 'em bout between only two of those films as Ralph Breaks the Internet and Creed II slugged it out with the animated video game comedy coming out on top with a massive $55.6 million purse while the Rocky universe sequel Creed II came in a distant second with a decent $35 million total.

The other new film this holiday weekend was the Jamie Foxx period adventure film Robin Hood, which finished in a disappointing seventh place with just over $9 million. {googleads}

Third place was grabbed by holdover Dr. Seuss's The Grinch which pulled in just over $30 million followed by the Harry Potter fantasy film Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald which finished in fourth place with nearly a nearly $30 million haul.

Rounding out the top five was the Queen biopic film Bohemian Rhapsody which dropped two spots with a $13.8 million box office total as did the Mark Wahlberg comedy Instant Family which finished in sixth place with $12.5 million.creed2 lg

The female empowerment action flick Widows dropped three slots to finish in eighth place with nearly $8 million which brings its total to $25.5 million while Mahershala Ali's Oscar-baiter Green Book rose a whopping 21 spots to come in ninth place with $5.4 million.
