The Snowman - Movie Trailer

Synopsis: When an elite crime squad’s lead detective (Fassbender) investigates the disappearance of a victim on the first snow of winter, he fears an elusive serial killer may be active again.  With the help of a brilliant recruit (Ferguson), the cop must connect decades-old cold cases to the brutal new one if he hopes to outwit this unthinkable evil before the next snowfall.

Filmmaker Tomas Alfredson, who last brought us the frustratingly complex spy thriller, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy back in 2011, has finally awakened from his slumber with another crime thriller in the form of The Snowman, an adaptation of Jo Nesbø’s global bestseller of the same name.

If the footage makes you cold, it’s likely because the film was shot entirely on location in Norway and is set in the dead of winter as Harry Hole (Fassbender) is struggling to track down a cold-blooded murderer who removes the heads and fingers of his victims. Oh, and he also turns their body parts into makeshift snowmen – some of which we get brief glimpses in the trailer. Hole must follow the clues left behind by the killer to find the next victim before it’s too late.

The Snowman is slated to hit theaters this fall on October 20, 2017.
