Room 203

The chills and spills begin with an ominous hole in the wall.  It is a hole which cannot be filled; many have tried but all have failed.  This cavity - much like a rotten tooth - cannot be filled . . . at least not for long.  And one poor dude is about to find out the hard way when he and his girlfriend plan to meet in Room 203 for a quickie.

"thriller which gets a lot of its intensity from the atmosphere it creates as something is still alive within the walls!"

But nothing goes as planned, even if it begins with the gift of a necklace that was found . . . well, you know where. Welcome to the gathered darkness of Room 203.  One stop here can last for all eternity. Long on scares and tall on shadows, Room 203 is for anyone who has ever enjoyed a good haunt and a mystery in their own home or apartment.

Directed by Ben Jagger (Corbin Nash) and based on the novel by Nanami Kamon, Room 203 is a thriller which gets a lot of its intensity from the atmosphere it creates as something is still alive within the walls!  Dark halls become endless scares and tension is ratcheted up thanks to some solid cares from cinematographer Joel Froome and editor J.C. Doler.  Both haunting and mysterious, there is a strong creative force kicking about in this film.  You can tell the people involved are proud of their work and, really, they ought to be.  This horror title stands apart for good reason.

After an unsettling opening, Room 203 takes another unexpected turn when lifelong friends Kim (Francesca Xuereb) and Izzy (Viktoria Vinyarska) move into the same room, a quirky apartment with a creepy medieval stained glass window, and discover that their expectations about freedom are but fleeting.  This place is BEYOND haunted . . . and it starts with the hole in the wall.

Maybe Kim’s parents were right.  She shouldn’t have moved in with Izzy - vintage vibes or not - this place is one BIG mistake.  That’s not going to stop these lifelong friends from having a good time, though.  Izzy has boys to conquer and the dynamic duo wants to live it up . . . even if strange noises from within the hole seem to be growing louder and louder.  Room 203

With help from her new boyfriend Ian (Eric Wiegand), Kim investigates the tortured history of the apartment, discovering a string of disappearances of former residents, a murder mystery from half a century ago, and an ancient curse that threatens to possess Izzy and kill Kim.

They don’t call it stained glass for nothing.  Something bad happened here and Kim is bound and determined to figure out just what happened . . . even if it kills her.
