Netflix has released the first trailer for The Highwaymen, which launches globally on Netflix on March 29 with exclusive theatrical engagements beginning March 15th. You can check out the trailer and the poster for the film below.

Netflix is teaming up with two legendary actors in Woody Harrelson and Kevin Costner to bring us a period crime drama The Highwaymen. Though the film is set to debut on Netflix on the 29th of March, it will world premiere at the South By Southwest Film Festival on March 10, then hit some exclusive theatrical engagements on March 15.

We all know the Bonnie and Clyde story, and it has been told on film and TV many times, but this is actually a quite interesting turn on the tale as it is told from the perspective of the two Texas Rangers Frank Hamer (Costner) and Maney Gault (Harrelson) who tracked down and killed the outlaws. {googleads}

In addition to Costner and Harrelson, The Highwaymen also stars John Carroll Lynch, Kim Dickens, and Kathy Bates as Texas Governor Ma Ferguson.
