Without any time to settle in, we are already looking EVIL straight in the face.as a frantic family - with lighted candle and ancient bloodstained book in hand - prepare to go toe-to-toe with whatever demonic force it is that is trying to SWALLOW THEIR SOULS. They lose, but what is left behind wins to fight another family . . .
. . . when Donald (David Alan Basche, War of the Worlds) and his wife Wendy (Amy Carlson, Anamorph) move in and extend their humble abode to Donald’s nephew, Charlie (Jack DiFalco, Silo), and his niece, Jami (Mallory Bechtel, Hereditary). Things don’t stay quiet for very long.
The good news is that Know Fear, from award-winning filmmakers Jamison LoCascio and Adam Ambrosio, is a tightly-paced horror film that moves all of its chess pieces, which includes some great auditory elements, in exactly the right spaces to come out as a clear winner when it comes to inspired takes on a familiar situation in the cinematic halls of horror. 
Few things about the mounting pressure the family faces in Know Fear are original, but EVERYTHING about the narrative - including likable characters and a strong atmosphere - works to create a solid thriller. From the subtle use of gore to the explicit sound effects and more, Know Fear is a fun throwback to terrors of yore as everyone in the house gets messed with by this entity. They just don’t know what it is or how to best compare notes until they discover what it is . . . which makes this one toy with our expectations.
Because stopping this evil - thanks to an inspired twist of the proverbial principle "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" - is going to be another matter altogether. And it is wickedly devilish as even a teaching assistant, Nancy (Meeya Davis), finds herself with a part to play in this 80-minute thriller..
Much like The Conjuring before it, Know Fear knows how and when to play its moves in this haunted checkerboard affair as Wendy, in one UNFORGETTABLE scene of culinary no-nos, begins to display signs of possession. With lingering camera shots and the discovery of a very unusual book, Know Fear invites comparisons to other films in the genre, but it is capable and clever enough to protect its moving pieces and deliver a toppling checkmate.

Synopsis: After discovering an ancient book of the occult in their new home, Donald Capel’s (David Alan Basche) wife Wendy (Amy Carlson) is seized by a demonic entity, nearly killing her.
