War Horse - Movie TrailerDreamworks recently released the trailer for Steven Spielberg's War Horse, the second of the legendary filmmaker's one-two holiday season Oscar punch that will kick off when the fantastical animated The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn hits theaters on December 23, just a few days before War Horse will open on December 28.

Adapted from the novel by Michael Morpurgo (and later, the stage play adaptation by Nick Stafford), War Horse follows a young man named Albert (Jeremy Irvine) and his horse, Joey, and how their bond is broken when Joey is sold to the cavalry and sent to the trenches of World War One. Despite being too young to enlist, Albert heads to France to save his friend.

We've come to expect nothing but greatness from the hands of Spielberg and this one certainly looks like it won't disappoint. The sweeping George Williams score and Spielberg's uniquely practical style blend together nicely in this wonderful trailer. We're actually looking forward to this one as it will be interesting to see Spielberg's take on a boy-and-his-horse story. Plus, it's been a while since we've been treated to a good World War I movie.
