We're still awaiting the trailer for David R. Ellis's return to the water in Shark Night 3D, but in the meantime you can chomp on this first look at the poster for the highly anticipated film from the Snakes on a Plane and Final Destination director. The pic comes from our buds over at Shock till You Drop.

Was probably a bad idea to include "From the Director of The Final Destination" in the poster's tagline as that'll likely conjure up a bad taste in the mouths of many filmgoers, but the imagery is unquestionably jawdropping. The teeth on that beast are just plain sick as hell and the black hole of its throat makes a nice contrast to the girl's... ahem, never mind. Anyway, many seem to be put off a bit by the film's PG-13 rating as that's likely to mean it'll be soft on the gore and little to no nudity. Leaving it all up to the story huh? Ok, good luck with all that.

Shark Night 3D (couldn't they have come up with a better title?) stars Chris Carmack, Sara Paxton, Joel David Moore and Chris Zylka. The film, about a weekend at a lake house in the Louisiana Gulf that turns into a nightmare for seven vacationers as they are subjected to fresh-water shark attacks, hopes to bring the "Jaws" back to shark movies on September of this year.
