X-men First ClassOur comic book weenies were tickled in early February when the highly anticipated trailer for X-Men: First Class was finally released.

Now the X-Men push is in full swing with the film's June 3 release date getting closer and closer. Released today were two new wonderful character posters that follow the trailer's lead by hinting at the film's origin story and focusing on who Magneto and Professor X were before discovering their mutant superpowers.

The film will hit theaters on June 3, of this year.

Check out the two new posters below and for those who missed it earlier, also below is the film's trailer.

X-Men Character Poster Professor X

X-Men Character Poster Magneto

We received some reports today that suggest these posters may be fake, perhaps created by a fan-boy deep within the bowels of his mother's basement somewhere in the Belgian countryside. We're looking into the authenticity of the pics, but at further glance, it's hard to believe these could be faked. The quality is just too good. If they are, we suggest the studio go ahead and use them as they play into the first-look trailers rather nicely. Stay tuned. We'll let you know what we find out.

Movie Synopsis: X-MEN FIRST CLASS charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to prevent nuclear Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.
