Hotel Artemis - Movie Trailer

Drew Pearce, the writer of such stalwart action pieces as Iron Man 3 and Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation gets his big break with a turn behind the camera in Hotel Artemis a film that features not only a star-studded cast, but also a fascinatingly sinister premise involving the titular hotel which is a secret hospital for criminals who need medical attention. Among others, Hotel Artemis stars Jodie Foster, Jeff Goldblum, Sterling K. Brown, and The Mummy's Sofie Boutella

Foster plays the eccentric Nurse who runs the hospital with a strict set of rules that forbids insulting the staff, allows no weapons, and forbids killing the other patients.

Memories of John Wick's Continental Hotel are sure to be dredged up, but after watching this first trailer for Hotel Artemis, damn if it doesn't look like this thing is going to work.

The film is set in a post-apocalyptic Los Angeles (ca, 2028) where Sofie Boutella's character ends up with a secret pen that hides millions in jewels... and lots of dangerous people want their diamonds back.

Aside from a debut headlining role by Black Panther's Sterling K. Brown, the film features Foster's first performance in front of the camera since 2013's Elysium and it look's to be the perfect chance for the actress to really show her kookier side. Her Nurse is a whacko oddball who constantly reminds the hospital patients to "obey the rules and show your membership. Everyone will get treated." But of course, rules get broken, the staff gets insulted, and people die in some really creative ways.
