Unquestionably, 2020 has been a strange year for Hollywood and the movie industry in general. With filmmaking production shut down in the wake of the Covid19 pandemic, movie lovers have been relatively hamstrung in their quest to take in any new cinematic fare.

But relief is on the way. In fact, another of Warner's big budget tentpoles hit cinemas last weekend and opened to a $20 million domestic take showing that people are indeed ready to get back to normal. Warner is gambling big yet again with its release of Dune which represents the third time Herbert's sci-fi novels have been brought to live action. It's a big task for sure, and whether or not the Arrival filmmaker can give the industry the push it needs is yet to be seen. But in the meantime, below is the first trailer for Dune. Check it out.
