A Wakefield Project

A house of horrors, a bloody spectacle, and a day of solar flares.  What do they all have in common? Well, for starters, they provide some intense scares in this independent feature from High Octane Pictures.  I mean, when you have an entire town holding their smartphones up in the air, desperate to get a signal, something seriously fucked up is going on.

"stands its ground as a horror film thanks to its commitment to exploring one town’s bizarre history with a local butcher and the seven women he hunted down"

And it might have to do with energies attached to the small town of Wakefield.

From the cold grip of the dead returning to life to the unfolding narrative of what exactly haunts one small town, A Wakefield Project combines disturbing found footage involving a small town butcher with the story of a renovating project that quickly goes downhill and, rather smartly, delivers memorable cinematic carnage in its running time.

Mixing science fiction with horror, A Wakefield Project arrives this March aiming to scare the pants right off viewers. {googleads}

And it does this all by listening to our energy. At least that’s the theory of one medium in the little town of Wakefield.  She’s returned along with her gift of reading a person’s energies and discovers a hotbed of paranormal activity thanks to some nefarious paranormal activity and a wild day of solar flare activity.

Something BIG is going down in Wakefield.

Directed by L.A. Lopes, A Wakefield Project stands its ground as a horror film thanks to its commitment to exploring one town’s bizarre history with a local butcher and the seven women he hunted down.  There is a reason that the residents of this small town are seeing the dead again and it has to do with an Inn hat is getting restored, shaking loose some old secrets.

Eric (Anthony Bewlz, Tooth Fairy) and Reese (Dennis Andres, Workin' Moms) invest in a property in the little town of Wakefield. Chloe (Lindsay Seim, Insidious: Chapter 2) a medium, who used to live in Wakefield returns to her roots to enlighten the new entrepreneurs on the history of the town. The property was originally owned by Nathan Cross (Rob Archer, Lost Girl), who's post mortem crimes stain the entire town. A Wakefield Project

On a day when unprecedented solar flares target North America, Wakefield becomes the center of a temporary shift in atmospheric energies. The living are seeing the dead walk among them. As they find themselves in the heart of this nightmare until dawn, they need to face history in the flesh and survive.  Some will, some won't, but none of that matters to the truth that refuses to be buried in the dirt and rubble of the past.

The dead walk!  A Wakefield Project premieres on DVD and Digital 3/3 from High Octane Pictures.
