Universal Monsters Complete 30 Film Collection Coming to Blu-ray

Good news Ghouls and Boils! The most iconic monsters of all time are finally coming home to blu-ray thanks to Universal's release of all 30 of its classic monster films in HD... for the first time ever. And just in time for Halloween!

Even better news is that we don't have to lose our minds waiting months for the release as the Universal Classic Monsters: Complete 30-Film Collection on blu-ray will hit retail outlets next week on August 28, 2018. The collection will sell for $149.98 and can be pre-ordered now at Amazon.com Check out the release details below.  

Of course the studio dipped its hairy, cloven hooves into blu-ray back in 2012 with its release of the Universal Classic Monsters: The Essential Collection on blu-ray, an 8-disc collection that featured nine classic monster films on DVD, including Dracula, Drácula (Spanish version), Frankenstein, The Mummy, The Invisible Man, The Bride of Frankenstein, The Wolf Man, Phantom of the Opera and Creature from the Black Lagoon.universal monster bluray3

This time around though, the collection, spread across 21 discs, will include EVERY single original Universal monster film from 1931-1956 including the sequels, prequels, and offshoots including The Invisible Man, The Mummy's Hand, Invisible Agent, Revenge of the Creature, She-Wolf of London, Abbott and Costello Meet The Mummy, and others that starred legendary creature actors Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff, Lon Chaney Jr., Claude Rains and Elsa Lanchester. Also included are hours of behind-the-scenes documentaries, featurettes, commentaries, archival footage and other bonus material highlighted by a 48-page collectible book with stories, rare photographs, and production stills.
