Slaughterhouse Five

And another friendly hi-def hello to our fellow blu-ray geeks. Welcome to the weekly look at our most wanted titles coming to blu-ray and/or 4K Ultra HD for the week of December 3, 2019.

Yet another slow week on the blu-ray 4k UHD front as we only have five titles worthy of our Most Wanted list this week. And only one of those is making its home video debut while none are getting 4K UHD releases.

First up is the Collector's Edition of the 1986 John Carpenter classic, Big Trouble in Little China, which stars Kurt Russell and Kate Cattrall. The two disc set comes with new audio commentaries as well as a dozen brand new interviews with various crew and cast members. Also included are the previously released bonus materials, trailers, interviews, and cast conversations. This one is a must-have for fans of the film.

Next up is the home video debut of the black comedy horror film Ready or Not which stars Samara Weaving, Adam Brody, and Mark O'Brien. The film doesn't get a 4K UHD release but instead comes to us in a blu-ray + digital single-disc set from 20th Century Fox. Accompanying the film are a handful of featurettes, a gag reel and an audio commentary by Radio Silence and Samara Weaving. {googleads}

Arrow Films stays hot with its blu-ray release of the 1972 science fiction film Slaughterhouse Five which is based on Kurt Vonnegut's novel of the same name. The film is getting a brand new 4K restoration from the original camera negative. Also included on the release are previously released audio commentaries, interviews, and featurettes.

From the Warner Archive Collection comes the complete series of the superhero TV animated show Teen Titans which will include all five seasons on this six-disc blu-ray set. Included with this set are a handful of featurettes as well as the Trouble in Tokyo feature film.

And last but not least, Kino Lorber is featuring a brand new 2K remaster of the 1961 sci-fi horror film Konga which stars Michael Gough, Jess Conrad, and Claire Gordon. The release comes with a radio spot, image gallery, and the film's origins theatrical trailer.
