Krampus Origins

The story of Krampus certainly isn't new to horror aficionados as it has been told numerous times in such movies as Krampus: The Christmas Devil, Krampus: The Recokoning, Krampus: The Devil Returns, and others. However, the terrifying backstory of the yuletide slaughterer will be revealed to all when Krampus Origins comes to digital and DVD this winter on November 6 from Uncork'd Entertainment.

The company follows up the release of the film's poster a few days ago with a new trailer that hit the web today. You can see both below.

In the short teaser we learn of some sort of evil that is unleashed when a mysterious young boy arrives at an unknowing orphanage in the dead of night. No one knows who the young stranger is or where he is from, but it quickly becomes evident that his intentions aren't of the holy variety when an ancient script reveals an impending evil threatening everyone with grave danger.

The film, directed by Joseph Mbar who works from a script written by Robert Conway, stars Maria Olsen (I Spit on Your Grave: Déjà vu, Paranormal Activity 3) and Anna Harr (Bethany, Restoration).
