Marvel just released the first teaser trailer for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, its first movie to feature an Asian superhero character. And you can check it out below.
Known in the comic world as the preeminent master of Martial Arts, Shang-Chi (Simu Liu) is introduced in the trailer as he faces off against the villainous and mysterious Ten Rings Organization.
Mystery had surrounded the oft-delayed project, but a tweet today, on Liu's birthday nonetheless, gave us our first look at the titular character who was born with special martial arts abilities and trained to be a lethal assassin.
The film features an all Asian cast (including Awkwafina, Tony Chiu-Wai Leung , and Michelle Yeoh) and is helmed by by Just Mercy director Destin Daniel Cretton.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is slated for a September 3 theatrical release.
