Eminence Hill (2019)

What do you get when the stars of Aliens, Lonesome Dove, and Face/Off come together in a rollicking western actioner? How about a town with no good guys! Eminence Hill, directed by Robert Conway, is a blood-soaked trip back through the past when the Old West met violence with even more violence and, no, there are no survivors.

"a blood-soaked trip back through the past when the Old West met violence with even more violence and, no, there are no survivors"

It’s a sun-bleached afternoon when a notorious outlaw and his gang of killers ride up to a quiet homestead. They are squinty-eyed and, to the whores they frequent, probably taste like shit and dirt. After a tense sit-down with the man of the house, the “meeting” erupts with guns drawn and a knife at the neck of the youngest female in the home. Uh-oh.

Two brutal deaths quickly follow this interaction and the young girl finds herself a hostage of this gang as they attempt to outrun the law that has been shading them. But this gang, as horny as they are, have plans for the young girl and it doesn’t involve getting a wink of sleep. They just have to keep her safe as possible – even from their own members - as they cross into the dangers that hug this godforsaken land. {googleads}

Unfortunately for this threadbare gang, they wind up lost and trapped in a community of bizarre weirdos – where faith and fanaticism cross lines and get severely screwed up – and, with the law hot on their trail, must have multiple showdowns in order to keep walking among the living.  Everyone here in this flick is trying to not get killed.  They usually fail.  Welcome to Eminence Hill!

Starring Lance Henriksen, Barry Corbin and Dominique Swain, Eminence Hill is both shocking and thrilling as, quite honestly, we don’t know who to holster up to a side with. Everyone is throwing shade here and it works to create a mysterious atmosphere where sudden violence rules the day. The uneasiness weighs heavily as we know that there is going to be HUGE convergence as bounty hunters, the law, villains, and heroes all enter this strange and fascinating town of lawlessness.Eminence Hill (2019)

Featuring wild performances from Clint James (The Magnificent Seven), Anna Harr (Bethany), Owen Conway (The Covenant), Maria Olsen (I Spit On Your Grave : Deja Vu), Augie Duke (Blood Craft) and Brinke Stevens (The Summer of Massacre), this western might not usher in a resurgence of the genre, but it delivers a shocking finale where bullets pierce hands and no one escapes untouched by the violence being dealt out by almost everyone.

Eminence Hill is in theaters on November 1 for a limited engagement. It is followed by a VOD and DVD release on November 5 from Uncork’d Entertainment.
