Dude Bro Party Massacre III - Blu-ray

4 beers

In which satire turns to the slasher genre as its next pulpy target. You get your invite to the party of … three years ago?  I hope so because someone killed all the beer!!!!!!

Because, thanks to 5-Second Films, Dude Bro Party Massacre III, the final arc in this forgotten (ha ha) trilogy, has finally arrived on blu-ray and you will be wanting to add it to your collection of trash SINema as soon as earthly possible.  It's that or the Beef Box awaits you.  Shot to look like a shitty VHS tape from a bygone era of video rentals, the film is actually full of commercial breaks and so many sight gags that you don’t dare look away.  While some moments don’t work, the movie doesn’t bother to look back or second guess itself.  It is committed to the 1980s era and to its hilarity.  The damn thing works, too.

the movie doesn’t bother to look back or second guess itself.  It is committed to the 1980s era and to its hilarity

This laugh out loud movie, splattering us with blood and guts and tits and ass, definitely rocks in a way that is comparable only to the highs (and lows) of Wet Hot American Summer and, if you absolutely howled with laughter during that trek through summer camp, then you will more than likely do the same here.  Nothing is off limits as the members of Delta Bi Theta come face to face (AGAIN!) with the murdering antics of Motherface!  That’s right, the killer from the first two flicks (ha ha) is back again.

Brent Chirino (Alec Owen) is a loner, but with action and violence thundering through this flick every 10-minutes or so, he’s going to get over his anti-social behavior pretty quickly.  He also have to get over the death of his twin brother.  Thankfully, he has Henry Headcheese and an attic full of CLUUUUUUES to assist him.  With names like these, do we need the film to make sense or, hell, play by any fucking rules whatsoever?  Quick answer: NO WE DO NOT.  Nor would we want it to either.  Dude Bro Party Massacre III is legit.  It is (g)or(e)gasms and gonzo to the supreme.  And, if you are watching this on a Friday night, the film is EXACTLY what you want it to be. Just keep drinking.  Hell, you even have a dance off competition. {googleads}

And the dudes at the helm of this hilarious slasher – Paul Prado as Turbeaux, Greg Sestero as Derek, Jimmy Wong as Sizzler, Ben Gigli as Samzy, and Joey Scoma as Todd – are all about getting Brent out of this tear shit and into a mood to kill, kill, and kill again.  With one character appearing (for no explained reason) in a different dress for almost every scene, this flick is one hell of a good and gory time.  Hastily edited and shoddy as hell, the film is a riot from beginning to end.  We even get tape wrinkles at certain times in the movie.  Dude Bro Party Massacre III - Blu-ray

When Henry Headcheese and Chirino become friends, their mission is to figure out who killed Chirino’s twin brother.  This is covered in the opening minutes of the movie as Chirino’s brother brings us up to speed before he is killed.  And then his twin brother takes over the narration and joins a fraternity in order to search for the real killer.  He has visions of his brother and has to convince his fraternity to go to a camp by the lake in order to get closure to the mystery.

Unfortunately, Motherface follows them.

But the police, represented here by Patton Oswalt as the chief of police, Brian Firenzi as Officer Sminkle, and Maria Del Carmen as Officer Candace Buttiker, when they aren’t busting hookers for hiding drugs up their assholes, have their own ideas on how to catch the killer.  And when the two parties meet up in the woods, their notes won't match up and so begins the journey into delusion and laughter.

Time to party until your pants fall off!
