Warner Bros. just debuted the first teaser trailer for Blade Runner 2049, the highly anticipated follow-up to Ridley Scott's groundbreaking sci-fi thriller Blade Runner which was released in 1982. Blade Runner 2049 takes place 30 years after Scott’s original story and features Ryan Gosling as Los Angeles Police Department Officer K. as well as Harrison Ford's reappearance as Rick Deckard.
Not much to see as it's just a short teaser, but we do get a pretty good idea of the film's look and feel which seems perfect. Plus, there's no question Villeneuve knows his way around a sci-fi set as his Arrival is on many Oscar short lists for this year's best picture. We can only hope that Fancher and Green's story holds up to the original.
