Ms Marvel for The Avengers 2?Ms. Marvel

Avengers 2 rumors are swirling around the interwebs that have a new superhero about to be unleashed to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the form of Ms. Marvel, also known as Major Carol Danvers. A British tabloid site is saying that Emily Blunt and Ruth Wilson are under consideration for the role of Ms. Marvel who will appear in The Avengers 2 which is slated for a May 1, 2015 release. The non-super-powered character, who first debuted back in 1969 in Marvel Super-heroes #13 is an Air Force captain who was later given the power of super strength, flight, and enhanced stamina by an explosion from some kind of alien technology. Yes, this story comes from a tabloid site which means it should be taken with a grain of salt, but considering that phase 2 of the Marvel universe seems to be on a trajectory into the cosmic realms of outer space it's probably not too far-fetched to introduce her character. Plus, Blunt has openly expressed an interest in working with Marvel. We'll keep an eye on the story over the next few days to see if these rumors pan out.

The Hangover 3 to be Set in Las VegasThe Hangover 3 Looks to be Set Back in Las Vegas

The setting for Todd Phillips' third, and likely last, visit to the Hangover franchise appears to be returning to the scene of the original: Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas where Doug (Justin Bartha) was abandoned on the rooftop by Phil, Stu, and Alan. Of course The Hangover Part 2 took place in Thailand where the boys went through pretty much the same thing they did in the first installment so it feels odd that Phillips wouldn't opt to mix things up a bit. But the bags and bags of money the first two films brought in are probably evidence enough that people are fine with watching the same movie over and over again. The Hangover Part III is due to be released on May 24, 2013.

Judy Garland's Dorothy dress to be sold in auctionDorothy's Dress Going on the Auction Block

The movie memorabilia business has become not only a way for cinephiles to get an actual, real-live piece of the movies they love, but it's also become yet another way for the filthy rich to show just how filthy rich they are in all their filthy rich-ness. Julien's auction house, based in Beverly Hills, California is set to sell one of the most famous costumes in movie history when it will list the blu and white gingham dress worn by Judy Garland in 1939's The Wizard of Oz.

The Icons and Idols Hollywood auction is set to take place on November 9th and 10th at the company's gallery. In addition to the iconic dress, for sale will be more than 800 lots of film memorabilia and items from the last seventy-five years of movie making, including Steve McQueens racing jacket worn in Winter Sprint, the marriage certificate of Elizabeth Taylor and and Eddie Fisher, personal jewelry, clothing, and weaponry from martial arts movie star Bruce Lee, and Christopher Reeves' special effects Superman costume from Superman IV: The Quest for Peace.

If recent history is any gauge, these and the other items offered for sale in the auction will go for ridiculously exorbitant prices. For instance, Dorothy's dress is expected to fetch somewhere in the neighborhood of half a million dollars. Gawkers need not apply however, as bidders are required to register on their web site before the sale begins.
