Haile Steinfeld in Forgotten AdaptationHailee Steinfeld stood toe to toe with veteran actors Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon and Josh Brolin in Joel & Ethan Coen's remake of True Grit. Now the young ingenue gets a chance to expand on her fine piece of work as the spunky Mattie Ross.

Deadline is reporting that Paramount has just acquired the rights to Forgotten, a novel by Cat Patrick that will be published by Little Brown in June. The film adaptation is said to be considered a star vehicle for the 14-year Oscar-nominated actress.

In the film, Steinfeld will play London Lane, a 16-year old whose memory is erased at 4:33 every night. The following morning, all she can remember are events from her future. She becomes frustrated however when, after meeting a new boy at school, she can't  seem to find him in her memory of things to come.

Ok, this sounds interesting! Stay tuned for more coverage as this projects develops.
