Holiday Hell

Sometimes getting the perfect gift for someone requires a sacrifice. That’s where the horror anthology, Holiday Hell, comes into play. For us, it seems that waiting until the very last minute to get the perfect (and weird) gift for someone is one big payoff with a brand-new horror film that revolves around four unique objects that could make the ULTIMATE Christmas gift.

"the frighteningly-festive horror anthology delivers the yuletide goods thanks to its commitment to violent tales of madness and morbidity"

Holiday Hell begins on a cold and dark winter night. It’s Christmas Eve, the worst possible time to be shopping for someone; for anyone; yet here we are as one woman braves the cold night to find the perfect gift. Her target on this night is as curio shop with a bunch of bizarre stuff in it. Surely, she can find something for her friend, right?

Once inside, though, her world gets rocked thanks to the mysterious shopkeeper (played exceptionally well by Re-Animator’s Jeffrey Combs) who tells her the horrific stories behind some of the objects in the shop that catch her eye. He only buys stuff that has stories that go along with it and these stories (hell, the objects, too) range from disturbingly deadly to downright brazenly bizarre. googleads}

As he weaves killer tales concerning killer dolls, soul-slicing witches, and psychotic Santas who do more ho-ho-hoeing then coked-out prostitutes, the woman senses she might be in danger. She has until midnight to choose her gift, but will she choose wisely? Holiday Hell is the gift that keeps giving as the yuletide festivities begin their descent upon us.

With the horror anthology continuing to slowly gain steam, it is of great pride to me that I get to tell you just how awesome Holiday Hell, with segments directed by Jeff Ferrell (Ghostlight), Jeremy Berg (The Invoking), Jeff Vigil and David Burns, is as a complete film. The tales twisted into its backbone grow increasingly stronger. The first, called Dollface, is probably the weakest tale in the anthology, but we have to start somewhere, right? In The Hand That Rocks the Dreidel we get a possessed Rabbi doll. Things get much better as Joel Murray in Christmas Carnage takes over the reindeer reigns in his performance as a Santa on the edge.Holiday Hell

Starring horror icon Jeffrey Combs (Re-Animator), Joel Murray (Hatchet), Jeff Bryan Davis (Killer Pad), Lisa Coronado (Twin Peaks), and Meagan Karimi-Naser (Dead West), the frighteningly-festive horror anthology delivers the yuletide goods thanks to its commitment to violent tales of madness and morbidity. No one is innocent here and, yes, that includes the woman hoping to score the best gift ever for the Christmas season.

Even she gets in on the anthology fun as she gets to tell the shopkeeper a tale about the ring that has caught his eye. Her story is called Room to Let and it involves beheadings and a safer place to stay, cleverly weaving itself into the overarching narrative. Holiday Hell is more than just its name. Thankfully.

The highly-anticipated yuletide horror haunt will then be available exclusively on Tubi exclusive 10/15 and Digital and DVD 11/5 from Uncork’d Entertainment.
