Escape from Death Block 13 - Movie Review

Escape from Death Block 13

Robert Bronzi (Death Kiss, Cry Havoc) is back!  The Hungarian actor looks remarkably like Charles Bronson and has made quite the career for himself by starring in B-grade action flicks like Bronson was so well-known for.  His resemblance to Bronson is uncanny.  Even if Bronzi is dubbed, everything in his ass-kicking performance as the Bronson-type hero is spot-on as he punches and kicks like the man he so unnaturally resembles.

"a no holds barred attack to the senses as a tense allegiance between cops and criminals finds itself tested by one honorable man on a mission"

Escape from Death Block 13, directed by Gary Jones, is no different.  Violent and loaded with guns blazing at almost every turn, this action-packed flick is not for the faint of heart.  Oh, yes, there will be blood.

This time, though, Bronzi brings a hammer to a gunfight and winds up with one hell of a headache.  Mick Kovacs wants answers to the death of his brother.  He doesn’t care who it is, but someone will pay for the justice he seeks.  Even if it requires him to go behind bars as a mole.  What he discovers is a head-turning truth to his brother’s demise.  This is a place where corrupt prison guards and a sadistic warden - who is involved with drug trafficking - reign supreme.

Can a just and noble man survive it?Escape from Death Block 13

Escape from Death Block 13 features Bronzi getting his hands dirty once he is sent to the notorious Pleasant Hill Penitentiary where his survival is an hourly struggle.  Just witness the courtyard brawl that ends up in a dirty free-for-all as violence begets violence and so on.  Hid been framed for attempted murder by a crime boss and the connections that have him being sent to Pleasant Hill run deep.

All of this means that his revenge just might bring down the whole penitentiary as Mick’s rage ignites an explosive riot as he makes one hell of a memorable escape to bring those responsible to their knees.

Starring Nicholas Turturro, Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs, Chris Hahn, Debbie Scaletta, Lyindaa Russell, Tim Lovelace, Beau Roberts, Justin Hawkins, David Greathouse, Richard Napoli, Leo Mcnamee, Mickey Scodova, Kenny H. Hendrix, Jacob Southwick, Jimmy Lee, and Bryan Jones, Escape from Death Block 13 is a no holds barred attack to the senses as a tense allegiance between cops and criminals finds itself tested by one honorable man on a mission.
