Bohemain Rhapsody - Movie Trailer

Mr. Robot's Rami Malek is on the verge of stepping into the spotlight in a major way when the Queen biopic called Bohemian Rhapsody releases in theaters this fall. But unfortunately for Malek those first steps must be taken in the shoes of iconic rock god Freddie Mercury... and what big shoes they are to fill.

The long-gestating biopic of the Queen frontman and the band he brought to stardom has experienced troubles nearly from the get-go when Sacha Baron-Cohen first backed out of the lead due to "creative differences," followed by the firing of Bryan Singer who was let go as director due to erratic illnesses and missed time on the set. But it looks like we are finally going to get to see the little silhouetto of a man when the movie hits theaters just in time for the holiday season.

Of course, the most striking thing we see in the trailer is how much Malek looks like the flashy frontman. But we're not quite sure about the decision to omit any of Mercury's struggle with HIV and AIDS. Not sure how much this is due to guitarist Brian May's input in the film, but the film is said to be more of a celebration of Queen the band rather than a traditional Freddie Mercury biopic. That's certainly not surprising since May's rather restrictive hold on the band and its legacy is fairly well known.
