Bad Witch

Devils. Witches. Revenge. Death.  COMEDY!?  Oh, hell, yes!  Bad Witch, with its tongue firmly planted in its cheek, delivers the cheeky goods as one devilish dude learns the high price of casting spells and the moral chaos which descends like a shadow upon him.

"with its tongue firmly planted in its cheek, delivers the cheeky goods as one devilish dude learns the high price of casting spells and the moral chaos which descends like a shadow upon him"

You name it and Bad Witch, opening on April 27 from Gravitas Ventures and Let It Reign Productions, has it.  Even the gore works to a crispy and fitting end in this tale of BAD going GOOD . . . or something along those lines.

Not a surprise considering that, in the film’s opening moments, we see a character dragging one body down a steep incline while another is tied up and gagged and then tortured by flames and incantations.  Seconds later, his burned up corpse is discovered by a young boy who discovers a book of spells at the smoldering scene . . .

20 YEARS LATER!

It turns out that the young boy has grown up into a practitioner himself.  Except Xander (Chris Kozlowski) has a knack for getting into serious trouble with his constant use and abuse of BLACK MAGIC.  From wishing evil upon others to all sorts of heinous deeds, Xander is constantly on the move thanks to the constant ass-kicking he receives in response to his spells.

Well, this April, Xander perfects his craft!  And the results are so much fun that you will not want your apprenticeship to end!  From the cast and their deadpan delivery to the wise direction behind the scenes, Bad Witch makes for a GOOD and GROOVY time!Bad Witch

After trying to go clean of his WITCHY ways, Xander befriends a young loner, Roland Grimm (Jackson Trent), who needs some guidance.  He is constantly getting picked on in the diner where they both work.

In helping Roland with bullies, girlfriends, and other teenage atrocities, Xander discovers a use for his particular set of skills.  We might have started out this flick with a total and absolute bear hug of HORROR, but the comedy antics are at an all time high thanks to the wink and nudge delivery as Xander gives up Black Magic . . . for a little bit.

Because WHAT IF his spells could be used for good and not just for his own selfish desires?  What if INDEED!  And therein lies the charm of this solid B-grade flick.  It’s a new idea which gives its audience a much needed head rotation!  Co-starring Clare Lefebure and James Hennigan, Bad Witch is directed by Joshua Land and Victor Fink.  The film is available On Demand April 27 from Gravitas Ventures
