Aquaman - Movie Trailer

Warner just gave us our first look at James Wan's Aquaman at this year's Comic-Con in San Diego. Though he first appeared in the flesh, er, scales, er flesh and scales in 2016's Justice League, this is the first time we see the character in his own film. And you can check it out in the trailer below.{googleads}

Speaking of Justice League, with that film widely considered a major miss (both financially and critically) for both the DC Universe and Warner, there's a lot riding on the success of this stand-alone turn which seems to have a bright future as the Aquaman character was one of the few bright spots in an otherwise dismal showing for that film. The success of last year's Wonder Woman also has enthusiasm peaking for this and other DC live-action films.

Starring Jason Mamoa, Aquaman tells the story of the half-human-half-Atlantian hero named Arthur Curry as he is brought back to an undersea kingdom that is on the brink of war. The film also stars Amber Heard, Nicole Kidman, Yahya Abdul-Mateen and Patrick Wilson. James Wan (The Conjuring, Insidious, Saw) will be in the chair working from a script by Will Beall (Gangster Squad).
