Everyone's favorite daredevil Johnny Knoxville is back to his hilariously painful antics in the upcoming comedy Action Point that received a trailer from Paramount Pictures which you can watch below.

The film is loosely based on an actual theme park in New Jersey called Action Park which operated for many years despite its reputation for being poorly designed and under-staffed by poorly-trained employees. In fact, six guests lost their lives throughout the years in accidents ranging from drownings to electrocutions. The real park (fondly called "traction park" or "class-action park") is listed in Wikipedia and you read more about it here - Action Park.

Action Point - Movie Trailer

While the story of the real Action Park is a fascinating yet almost unbelievable look at what theme parks were like before the lawyers and activists got a hold of them, the real-life park serves as the inspiration for Knoxville and crew to continue their painful Jackass-like antics in a film that is actually scripted with Knoxville performing the actual stunts. And from what we see here, it works. Sure, there looks to be plenty of cheap silliness in the script which is probably more of a rough outline than an actual meaningful script, but I have to admit that I did laugh out loud and some of the pranks and pratfalls.

Joining Knoxville in the wild-ass antics of Action Point are Chris Pontius, Dan Bakkedahl, Matt Schulze, Eleanor Worthington-Cox, Johnny Pemberton, Brigette Lundy-Paine, Joshua Hoover, Conner McVicker, and Eric Manaka.
